Recorded: January 12 - February 24, 1956 Released: July 1, 1957 Studio: unknown Length: 26:23 Label: RCA Victor Rating: 6/10 (good) Elvis Presley’s first soundtrack album, Loving You, is the soundtrack of a film of the same name. The album opens with the catchy and high-energy “Mean Woman Blues”, which gained fame after being covered by Roy Orbison in the early 1960’s. Aside from that, nothing else from the album stands out as particularly notable. This is a good album, but probably not on par with his two previous albums. I’d suggest listening to it if you haven’t already.
